Maria Ivanova was appointed as Citi's Country Officer for UAE.

Ivanova to collaborate with UAE management and Citibank's CEO, Shamsa Al-Falasi.

Citi's MEA head, Ebru Pakcan, lauds Ivanova's strategic and Client-centric approach.


Citi has named Maria Ivanova, previously the Citi Country Officer (CCO) for Russia, to CCO for the UAE, where she will be responsible for the bank's businesses and operations.

Having been with the bank since 1996, Ivanova will also be a senior executive officer for Citibank NA DIFC, Citibank NA ADGM, and Citigroup Global Markets Limited, DIFC, as per Citi's announcement.

Ivanova's collaboration will involve close ties with the UAE management team, especially with Shamsa Al-Falasi, the CEO of Citibank, N.A. UAE Onshore Branch.

Throughout her tenure at Citi, Ivanova has progressed from a corporate banking relationship manager to holding pivotal roles in trade finance, the global subsidiaries group. She was more recently the chief operating officer for Citi Russia before her stint as CCO for Russia.
