Over SR3 billion ($800 million) in agreements were finalized during a four-day food and agriculture event in Riyadh.
Held from Oct. 23 to 26, the 2023 Saudi Agriculture exhibition welcomed 410+ exhibitors from over 40 nations.

This year's event featured three specialized segments: food packaging, agri-food, and aquaculture. As per the Saudi Press Agency, there were 16 deals and three MOUs signed.
The event's 40th edition saw an unprecedented number of attendees, comprising business magnates, industry experts from both local and international spheres, and various trade stakeholders.

The SPA emphasized that the MOU signings are a pivotal move to foster agricultural progress, invite more investments, and align with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 by bolstering food security and revenue diversification.

The Netherlands had the most prominent national pavilion, showcasing its prowess in greenhouse farming, cutting-edge agricultural methods, and irrigation systems.

Other nations like China, India, Thailand, Spain, Turkey, and Georgia also made their presence felt. Displayed advancements in the sector included innovations in nursery technology, vertical farming, hydroponics, and specialized agricultural robots.
The exhibition activities garnered significant praise, the SPA noted, especially the expert-led workshops and discussions focusing on contemporary farming techniques, systems, and sustainability measures.
